Just one year ago, in February 2011, NATO forces mercilessly mowed down a large group of Afghan civilians who had gathered for a village event in the Kunar province of eastern Afghanistan. At least sixty-five civilians were killed in the massacre with forty of them being children. NATO claimed that those killed were almost all insurgents with only a handful of civilian deaths.
